Peer Review Process

Ensuring high-quality research through rigorous and fair double-blind peer review.

How We Review

Niger Delta Journal employs a double-blind review process, meaning that both the reviewer and author identities are concealed from the reviewers, and vice versa, throughout the review process.

Submission & Screening

Every submitted manuscript is first screened by the editorial office for basic requirements and plagiarism checks.

Reviewer Assignment

The Editor-in-Chief assigns the paper to at least two independent subject experts for review.

Review & Feedback

Reviewers evaluate originality, methodology, and contribution to the field, providing detailed feedback.

Final Decision

Based on reviews, the editor makes a final decision: Accept, Minor Revision, Major Revision, or Reject.

Review Timeline
  • Initial screening: 1-2 weeks
  • First round of reviews: 4-6 weeks
  • Final decision after revisions: 2-3 weeks
